The switch supports two-way control, allowing users to retain manual switch functionality while enabling remote and voice control. It also features detach relay mode, letting external switches operate independently of the relay state—ideal for advanced automation setups.

The eWeLink-Remote gateway function allows pairing with Sonoff R5 and S-MATE remotes for local control without Wi-Fi. This makes it suitable for areas with unreliable internet or for users who prefer physical remotes.
